Re: Image Game

You are right, of course.

Let's see the next one (try something for Darkhawk tongue)

Re: Image Game

I'll try to find something that even Darkhawk will get smile

Re: Image Game

Yeah.. Thanks.. It might be impossible though.

Re: Image Game

Ok here's an easy one then:

http://img383.imageshack.us/img383/5264/quiz2kc6.jpg

What movie?
Who played the two female leads?
What does this movie have in common with Top Gun?

Re: Image Game

STOP saying they're easy please.. It's not good for my self-esteem.

Re: Image Game

Ok so here's a hint. One of the actors in this movie just turned 60 and is more known for his music than his acting although neither is bad (in my opinion).

OK so I'll add to this hint since all of you apparently lack any cultural background smile

The guy I'm talking about is still active (as a musician and an actor) he most recently played Tesla in The Prestige and was one of the few human actors in Labyrinth.

Re: Image Game

I really can't be sure, but is that Jude Law in the background?

Edit: This is probably totally wrong, but why not take a stab at it?

The movie is The Aviator, the two female leads were Cate Blanchett and Kate Beckinsale, and the connection to Top Gun is...

DA PLANEZ

They fly and stuff!

Crappy guess, but I'm not going to beat my brains out over it tongue. And come on, does anyone actually listen to musicians who're turning 60? Whoever he is he should've died from an overdose in the 70's like all the cool musicians did around then.

Re: Image Game

Alright, this is The Hunger, a 1983 cult film about vampires and such.

Get some damned taste Miho tongue

The two female leads are Susan Sarandon and Catherine Deneuve. The connection with Top Gun is that they share the same director, Tony Scott.

Crap, this means I have to find something don't I...

Re: Image Game

Yup.

And I have taste.
It's a classic.
It's great!

Re: Image Game

Alright kiddies, ready for this?

I present:

http://i135.photobucket.com/albums/q125/coarsesand/jimmyhendrix.jpg

Now,
1. Who directed this film?
2. Which producer gave the director his first major film credit?
3. Who is the actor?
4. Give the quote of the famous choice he gave later in his career.

BONUS HAPPY FUN TIME!

What is the mentioned producer's nickname?
On which movie's set did he earn this nickname?

Re: Image Game

Alright, time for a hint.

1. Nicholas Cage is his nephew.
2. The first major film credit involved a bed with a nasty surprise under the covers.
3. My trout is on fire!
4. It means buckle your seatbelt, Dorothy, 'cause Kansas is going bye-bye.

Bonus

Wikipedia doesn't list this person as having the producer credit on the film, but he was involved in a productorial fashion. He's better known as having been the head producer for Paramount Studios at one time, and was responsible for bringing the director in. He is NOT Albert Ruddy, as the Wikipedia article may suggest.

http://i135.photobucket.com/albums/q125/coarsesand/graffisigtransparent.png

Re: Image Game

It's Apocalypse Now.

1. Who directed this film?

Francis Ford Coppola

2. Which producer gave the director his first major film credit?

This is Godfather 2, but FFC was listed as the producer, so don't know which Producer this was...!

3. Who is the actor?

This was dreadful! Only got it with the clue: Laurence Fishburne.

4. Give the quote of the famous choice he gave later in his career.

This it?

"We were in the jungle, there were too many of us, we had access to too much money, too much equipment, and little by little, we went insane."

Esme

Re: Image Game

1. Dead on.
2. Actually I'm referring to just the Godfather. It was the one with the horse's head in the bed.
3. Yeah, bad image quality, but he was 14 at the time so you probably wouldn't have gotten it anyways.
4. Nope, I'm referring to much later in Larry Fish's career where he played Morpheus tongue

'This is your last chance. After this, there is no turning back. You take the blue pill - the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill - you stay in Wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit-hole goes.'

The hint I gave should've given that away!

Anyways, Bonus-wise, this is complicated. The producer was Robert Evans, nicknamed the Kid when he took on the role of a matador in The Sun Also Rises. But this was crazy, crazy obscure and something you'd probably only know from reading his autobiography, that or knowing that he voiced himself in a cartoon called Kid Notorious.

Now Esme, post your own image!

http://i135.photobucket.com/albums/q125/coarsesand/graffisigtransparent.png

Re: Image Game

hmmm.... Esme? We are waiting anxciously (hmm... at least something like that) for your next image. Would you like to share it with us, or is it going to be blind-guess game from now on?

(would be nice, if someone gets it, then you post it... hmmm...)

Cheers,

Dustie

Re: Image Game

ok, ok!

http://img148.imageshack.us/img148/18/image2zu5.jpg

1. This film title is taken from a book, however much of the plot belongs to which other book?

2. What is the (I think) brilliant pun in this film?

3. This film was the first ever to be filmed in...where?

3. What is the link to the Lord of the Rings?

Sorry, I have to run, so I'll try and make the image bigger later.

1. The Far Side of the World.

2. I'm going to guess the "lesser of two weevils" pun.

3. The Galapagos Islands? But not all of it was filmed there...

4. Pippin. Or, his actor.

Re: Image Game

Obviously way too easy!

Yes it wasn't all filmed in the Galapagos, but it does claim to be the first film ever filmed in the islands.

Off you go Norah. lol

Ok, give me:

1) The name of the game.

2) The name of the main character.

3) Tell me the name of the mutated fish in the picture.

4) Who is trying to take over the world, and how exactly are they trying to do that?

Re: Image Game

1. Psychonauts.

2. Raz(putin).

3. The Hideous Hulking Lungfish of Lake Oblongata, but better and more affectionately known as Linda the Lungfish.

4. Morceau Oleander and his co-schemer Dr. Loboto (and assistant Sheegor). They try to take over the world by placing the brains of psychic children into psychic death tanks (not a bad idea).

Yes? YES! At last I win!! Right?

Re: Image Game

Yes, you win smile.

Poor Sheegor was really just a victim though big_smile.

If you want bonus brownie points you can also give me the name of Sheegor's pet, but go ahead and place an image .

Re: Image Game

I like the guess-a-game! Nice mutation!

Re: Image Game

So at last it is my turn. And this one is either ridiculously easy or.. Fiendishly hard. Cool eh? It's also a game. Here goes:

http://img253.imageshack.us/img253/2409/toughone3lw.th.png

Questions:

1. From which game?
2. What year was the game released?
3. Which gamecompany made it?
4. Which computer platform was especially known for this game?
5. What was the name of the main character?

So there!

Re: Image Game

Heh....ridicilously easy I guess (except for question 5).

1. Shadow of the Beast.
2. 1989
3. Reflections made it but it was produced and released by Psygnosis
4. The game was first released on the Amiga (where I played it).
5. Aarbron

I hope that's answer enough.

I think the image you choose and the questions you asked are strongly biased in favour of the elderly members of this community...
