Tyler's ailment has shown its teeth and I think that we do need to look into possibilities that might be overlooked. Since it is considered very likely by specialists that Ishi's immunity is genetical we shouldn't ignore possibility of engineering ourselves so that we all could be immune.  I think it is wortwhile idea to retroengineer our genomes to resist the ailment.
