So you've figured out the comic?
Well as I said the comic is named after her uncle.
So if you can't figure out who she is...figure out who her father is first.
There may be plenty of "brothers" to pick from but this one is the oldest and most powerful among them.

Okay, it's my turn again, it seems.
So, what's the connection between these two products?
Both the candy and the cartoon, this character is from, are called Gummi(y) bears. Apparently the cartoon was inspired by the candy.

EDIT: Wasn't too surprised when I learned about the connection. You need some pretty strange inspiration to create a bunch of tiny magical fantasy bears with the special ability to turn into rubberballs on legs.

I'd planned on a hint per day, but it slipped this time. Anyway, here's the third (or second, depending on how you see the first one):
The object in question has little or none practical value (this might be debatable) but it is modelled after something that does.

Another hint:
What you see on the image is one end of the object. The other is pointy.
Hmmm... maybe that's a spinning top?
No. Although, that is a much better guess than the mushroom 
I think Sandlings suggestion was the best.
I think it's the handle of a grill-spit or perhaps a corncob holder thingy.

Since you're all too stupid to guess it yet, you'll get this:
Hmm...I think I got it then.
It's the top of an umbrella..the kind you use for cocktails and such I think (or to protect your painted D&D figurines from the rain )
