Re: Image Game
Needless to say, I am very disappointed. I started gaming when I bought my PS2, and somehow I'm the only one who knows the obscure JRPG? For shame.
Anyways, I finished Golden Sun tonight, so I feel like bringing another old RPG set to an end. Here are the answers, and bow down before the cliches.
1. The game is Breath of Fire 2. It was released December 1995 for the Super NES by Capcom Co., LTD.
2. Someone should beat the developers for this joke, but I'm in the Flying TownShip, a fairy village that the game lets you develop and populate to get special items, or in this case a means of flying transportation after a certain event in the plotline.
3. The ship is being powered by your adoptive father who disappeared years ago in an attack, and who you save from the clutches of a boss in the depths of a cathedral. He offers his body as a means to power the flight of your town, and is able to do so thanks to the magic of a mysterious naga sorceress named Deis/Bleu, a secret character you can find by stumbling into her desert home, and is the most powerful spellcaster available.
4. I am flying above Giant Island.
5. This doesn't really take much deduction does it. The island itself is fairly small.
6. If I remember correctly, the two characters residing in the cabin are Bo and Karn from Breath of Fire. One is a wolfman, and the other one is a... thing.
7. BoF2, and the original BoF1 at around the same time, were re-released for the the Game Boy Advance in 2002. The picture was taken from my DS, as my GBA's screen died long ago. The picture is actually my second playthrough of the game, the first being on a ZNES emulator years before the re-release. The first time through took 80 hours to complete, I believe the timer on my GBA save file says 37 hours. Hell of a game.
And I'm exhausted, so I'll just pass the image posting rights on to Darkhawk, since he's the only person who tried to guess.
