Topic: Some Lore-Centric Links

Having encountered a number of you (and been delighted to do so!!), I went through the Ryzom forums and dug up some Lore-centric posts that are not always "published canon" by Nevrax, but things left to the devising/guessing of the playerbase. A lot of the information is VERY useful, and at the least are great roleplaying tools, or points of speculation from an IC point of view.

Perhaps my favorite (explaining how /tell commands can be used to make IC contact over many kilometers) is the thread "Regarding the apparent telepathic ability of all Homins on Atys". This also covers things like communicating IC in team, in guilds, and the way people can communicate at such distances within a Region. (Some rp in Region, some don't, and some do it more casually by simply maintaining the character's most basic personality traits.) 

Anyway, I hope you enjoy this list and find the information in the threads useful.

I just hope they are helpful to those that are going to be playing SoR. I've been very excited to see new roleplayers in Silan. Most players are too timid to roleplay on Silan (I know I was, despite being an immersive roleplayer in UO for 8 years), and just having a few others to do it with draws those shy ones out.

I'm absolutely excited about new faces, and more roleplayers. I am sorry your home-game was closed though. That's never ever a happy thing.

Definitely very interesting and helpful... as well as infuriating and confusing, as Nevrax seem to be pretty big on paradoxical backstory statements. *grumbles*

It's going to be interesting to see how our motley band relates to the larger RP community in SoR. wink
