Well here's some hints then.
The book was published about 30 years ago.
The author was 39 or 40 at the time and is often considered the "father" of this particular genre.
Now it should be easy

Bah you people suck
This is from the first edition of a book that just came in a 4th edition.
And you may have seen me give a hint in another thread when someone posted something about the authors recent death.
If you still don't get it you lose 10 hp and must make a saving throw against death.
