The server is running, using ircd-hybrid + hybserv.
I am testing IdleRPG, using the IdleRPG code base. If you know/want to use another code base, just tell me

GSRPG website is back online, and their idlerpg bot looks like it's more advanced (might have been the one used on irc.seedthegame.com).
I'll install it tonight if I have the time, as it needs postgresql to work.

An eggdrop would be useful for all kinds of things. I don't know how much you've looked at the available plugins but I seem to remember there being a plethora of possibilities. Also, eggdrop has been in development for ages, so it's stable and functional.

The url is coming, but I didn't want people to connect while I was testing the server, and think it's unstable.
If I have the time, the server will be available with a temporary url tonight. Might do a beta test just before it goes live.

edit: what did the !topten command do exactly? was it idlerpg's top10, or channel stats?
atm, Chimbot is not really useful, it just sits there

Topten was channel stats. It checked how many words you wrote (via tracking your IP I think), how many sentences, and how many smilies. It saved a random quote from you.
If you wrote !topten, you'd get a topten highscore of words, and if you wrote !statsme you'd get all of the info on yourself (and !stats 'handle' would give you the stats of another)

The words was tracked via the username and not the IP.

Which was a bad solution, really, but I suspect it was necessary with all the web logins and whatnot. Given that people use a real IRC client, it's much better to track via ident plus domain or somesuch.

The IRC server is now open for beta testing.
The temporary address is irc.mkc.fr, the port is 6667. Channels #seed and #idlerpg.
added !beer, !oil and !topten to Chimbot

Another idlerpg bot is running on #idlerpg2, with a different code base.

Bug discovered by Darkhawk on Chimbot: after 3 am, it will stop recording stats, until you part the channel and join again.
