Thanks Esme. I must admit I like it a lot more than the trusty, old hatetank.dk.
At polygonpoop.dk (with blogspot as backbone) I can do pretty much everything (though I have to bend it a bit now and then).
I get much more outlet through polygonpoop because it is so easy, and because I don't have to manually create content in Dreamweaver...

Cheers

Feelix : Thanks alot. About updates - I'd really love to do a character next, but for that I need help from one of the character guys. I still have tools and stuff though - I could probably throw some of the HUB variations I did just before shutdown (including Esme's tree), online.
It's a good idea - I might look into it soon. I have another project going on currently though ( http://polygonpoop.dk/2007/08/wip-mercu … -poly.html ) - but if you bookmark the seed interactive models page on my website, you'll know when it is done - or be a lazy bugger, and have the RSS feed... feed you wink

Cheers

My pleasure, Esme. That's kinda why I did it in the firstplace - that and to showcase some of my work of course smile

- I have gotten hold of all the characters and stuff too, but the way it was set up in Qube/Seed, makes it a friggin huge puzzle, and it will most likely be quite a task to get just one craracter properly assembled. But animation and rigging really isnt my area.
I might talk to Anders og Kristian, and see if they can help somehow, but I can't take the time out right now to do it.

Cheers

*edit* A little tip for those of you interrested in the modelling of these items : If you press shift F2, you'll be able to toggle between wireframe and textured.

aaaand done.
Unfortunately the DVD gave me several "cyclic redundancy check" errors, so I'll have to get a new copy from one of the other RGD guys. But I've upped all that I could extract from the DVD.

- the error is also why it had only upped stuff partially during the night.

The connection seems to be a bit unstable (I don't know why), but it has disconnected during the night.

I'll tell you in this thread when it is done, and the file sizes match. Please do not access anything in the Nicks Seed Dump folder untill I say so.

Ahnion : Thanks, though Sekra has fixed some stuff, and it looks like it's possible to upload now. So hold that thought for a bit.

I still can't upload the 2.3 Gb videos and screendumps I have on ONE of my beckups, because your FTP is too restrictive.
Followed your guidelines in the mail, and still no luck. 3 different FTP clients all report the same.

- if anyone, who can get through to Sekra's FTP would be willing to setup an FTP of their own and act as "middle man", I'll be happy to give it another go.

Any more concept art from the game? I really like the one posted here.

A metrosexual Predator and an Alien hick living together in an appartment in New York. It doesn't get any better.

Well - I have thought about it too. It would be fun to get it up and running, maybe through TurnTool somehow - but there is the small issue of the IP.

Oh - check the thread again - updated with :

http://bp2.blogger.com/_ETQNqKwzNsE/Rlqv5X7RAqI/AAAAAAAAAOw/tw-7I8DUxbg/s320/Radlock.jpg

Complete with cycle and a (faked and inaccessible) view of the Recspace and Canyon entrance.

I'm actually quite impressed, by how well TurnTool handles this. I dare to say that it is possibly better than Qube. ANd the stuff looks pretty much the same, except of course for some lacking particle effects etc.
If it was possible to setup zoning & scopes in TurnTool, it would run even smoother. But then again, there's no characters, items or hardpoints with machinery.

Nuala  : again, most welcome. Now I don't follow your RP'ing anymore, so I have no clue about what direction you've taken it. But I was kinda hoping that perhaps the models and/or levels could aid you a bit in your RP'ing.

Cheers

Oluf : TurnTool started out as a game engine used for 3 productions at the former Danish game developer "Pixeleers", where I worked 1998-2000. So it is no stranger to game graphics smile
I was however impressed myself, that it handles the location so well.

Cheers

dustman : Yes, it was the intention that you'd be stripped to your undies (and futuristic sports bra for those with female characters), once you came down the stairs in the "Dome". And you'd head down the funnel to the other semi-naked colonists.
Obviously reverse procedure when leaving.

Aaaaannnnd (re)-introducing the Steam Baths

http://bp2.blogger.com/_ETQNqKwzNsE/RlhbH37RAjI/AAAAAAAAAN4/XZCUiri-K3c/s320/SteamBath.jpg

Please read the description before downloading, as it IS 15Mb.

It may actually be doable to make more sections of the tower this way. In theory, they could even be linked, so if you enter a radlock, ot loads up a new location, without you having to type a new adress in the browser.
That however, is a bit more long-haired smile

Updated with SharePoint

Oluf : Yeah. It would've been nice.

I'm still planning to go ahead with the SharePoint, and possibly some of the tools.

Thinking about setting up a MicroFactory with interchangeable Bits.
Thinking about setting up SteamBaths that you can walk in it (first person)

Updated -> LabStation + attachments (same url though)

Most welcome. The conversion does take a little time, but I should be able to up the Sharepoint and the LabStation fairly soon.

Yes, I have all 3D, and all the textures (even all the Photoshop files). In some cases I even have the Q databases. I think most of us actually managed to back up the stuff. We need it for resumés and job hunting.

Cheers

Well - since I have a backup of all the Seed graphics, I thought it'd be a good opportunity to share with the community.
I'm not quite sure how rare some of it is, but I've decided to post up some of what I think is rare... But I'm gonna let you play with it in 3D, so you can experience what it would've looked like in-game.

First up : FloatBed and FloatBed Handler

I'm gonna post up the Sharepoint and the LabStation (with a few attachments) as well.
I'd also like to do the MicroFactory with exchangeable Bits.

The one HUB that has nothing in the center, was actually thought as a big repair/construction job story thingy.
Would've been fun.

I think there was 3 or 4 other HUB variants that I did close to the shutdown. I'll see if I can find screenshots, or make some new ones from the scene files.

I've just begun transferring my stuff from hatetank.dk to polygonpoop.blogspot.com, and top priority was of course some Seed stuff - since I had none of that "publicly" online.
There's screens, Jan's video, a few turntable videos of items, and link to some of Jan's concept art.

You'll have to ask a coder, but i think we primarily used 1.1.1, but there might have been a switch near the end to 1.1.2 -
2.0 is most likely not 100% compatible with the older stuff. I'm pretty sure you'd have to recompile everything.

Were SteamBaths released before we shut down? I can't remember.
