Hello all,

Just checking in and saying hi. Sorry I haven't been around much either on the forum or in SoR, but life kind of overtook me. Firstly I had jury service, during which time I also tried to squeeze in work, and now my work hours have changed again. I'm now working 4 full afternoon/evening shifts which I'm afraid is going to mean that I'm going to have next to no time for RP in the near future. What little spare time I have will be mostly spent with my husband as we get very little time together these days. I'll try to pop in here more often though and keep an eye on whats happening. I truly miss RP and hopefully my schedule will change at some point to free me up again. In the mean time I look forward to hearing all your RP stories and I'm still keeping my eyes open for the perfect RP game!

And for those of you who are francophones, I thought you might enjoy this. Bifrost recently gave an interview about Seed to playmmo: http://www.mmo-tv.fr/modules.php?name=S … p;artid=10

Unfortunately I haven't managed to convince him to translate it for me and my french is too poor to understand anything but the odd word!

Take care all and keep on RPing!

Yes, I was starting to wonder about our luck too, despite not having been game for well over a month. The more time I spend working in the industry the more I think this is not that unusual. However it doesn't necessarily foretell doom for the game - I'll keep watching with interest smile

Always Blue

Hot or cold?

I knew there was something missing!

Ok, so I'm cranking up the old Mediaplayer and I'll start with one of my favourite albums at the moment Junkie XL - Radio JXL: A Broadcast from the Computer Hell Cabin

So I'm now listening to Intro 3PM by Junkie XL

And as always this comes with a huge thanks to Gunter/Tachy who told me about this album. If you wonder why, the track 'Beauty Never Fades' is used in one of the Eve Online demos and absoluted flummoxed (just for you Ahni, or was it Borken?) the first time I heard it.

Funnily I found Roma Victor at the same time as Seed, and I've had it as a homepage these last few months. I was very close to signing up, but then Seed whooshed me away.

It a historical period I'm interested in and for years I actually dreamed about setting up a MUSH based around the Celts, so I might yet be tempted to give it a go. But for now, my game time is so limited that as long as can get a couple of hours of quality RP a week, I'd even RP being an elephant wink

blonde or brunette?

I agree with the comments that we should not force ourselves into the same game. Let's stay in touch and no doubt several of us will end up in the same games from time to time. Eventually we'll find a place that gives us the freedom to RP like we want to. And then we can rejoin once more in virtuality.

I haven't been into a MUSH in years, but I loved the enviroment. Seed to me was so good, because it was a MUSH with pictures. It just made it that bit more immersive. But I could immerse in MUSHes without a problem.

I did have some wierd moments on Seed where I could almost hear the words rather than read them wink The first half hour in game was always wierd because it was too 'quiet', before words took shape for me again!

That kept me sane last week wink Zorg passed it on to me and I can only say a huge thanks!

Sorry to wake up an old post wink You'll get used to me doing that.

It looks great even in it's primitive state. Those huge hardpoints would have been interesting...

Hm... hm... I really like the idea of limiting these "magic" messages in length, at least for those of us who are not so attuned to the sap. Not only does it make a lot of sense, it's atmospheric and it limits metagaming.

How about the sending of an emote suggesting an image? Something along the lines:

*An image of Shula holding a small pile of wood appears in your mind*

Now, you don't know if she needs it, has spare, or just in fact likes wood (I am so regretting my choice of example!). But you could then go ask her, or speak to someone else. And it doesn't even have to be that specific...I would suggest magicians would send clear messages, others foggy ones.

*An fuzzy image of a woman, maybe a fyros, holding a small pile of wood appears in your mind*

Just my tuppence worth wink

Thosam,  I'm thinking of you for some reason tongue Or even Mir, who I believe asked Hastings about the solid dihydrogen oxide at the window the first time they met...
