Hey Trevenni, have a look at here:
http://seedthecommunity.org/viewtopic.p … 2671#p2671
I updated the thread with download locations and such, so anyone who wants to play only needs a code to do it smile

Well, this thread is some gathering place for those who already bought the game and those who might want to try it out. Every full game comes with a 7-day buddy code, which can be given to someone else. So, if you want to try the game out or have a buddy-code, tell us, so those who are interested can try the game out.

I bought the game, but gave my buddy-code to Darkhawk.

Edit: Alright, if you want to use a buddy code, you might as well get the client, so here:
http://community.codemasters.com/forum/ … p?t=172356 for the client download locations or:
http://www.fileplanet.com/169391/160000 … est-Client if you have access
(the gamespy registration is free and then you can download it)
You need .net framework 1.1 installed and if you get http 404 error, then look at the TurbineLauncher.exe.config file, which have to look like this on the proper place:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<configuration>
   <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true"/>
   <startup>
      <requiredRuntime version="V1.1.4322" safemode="true"/>
      <supportedRuntime version="V1.1.4322" />
   </startup>
   <appSettings>
      <add key="Launcher.DataCenterService.GLS" value="http://lotroeugls.com/GLS.DataCenterServer/Service.asmx" />
      <add key="DataCenter.GameName" value="LOTROEU"/>
      <add key="DataCenter.DefaultCenter" value="LOTROEU"/>
      <add key="Product.DocumentFolder" value="The Lord of the Rings Online"/>
      <add key="Launcher.DocumentFolder" value="Launcher"/>
   </appSettings>
</configuration>

It may be LOTRO-beta or something on some places.

Also, if you want to play on Ultra-high resolution, you should grab the hi-res texture file from here: http://www.andazeus.de/ just copy the client_highres.dat in yor game folder where the other big .dat files are.
Then play away wink

Yeah, you wouldn't think, but Middle-Earth is full of animals that are not there for the kill, rather to enhance the immersion of the world. These are hares, foxes and rabbits, they don't jump at you, but run away if you scare them. Also, there are many different trees and flowers and other plants that are around.

If you like them or find them interesting, post them here.

Note:this is also a draft, if you don't like it or think it's totally a bad idea, tell me.

Well... this is only a draft for now, as we explore Middle-Earth, there are somewhat hidden places that are worth visiting. It can be a small ancient ruin, or a cliff where the sunset is just breathtaking, whatever you like. The images can be uploaded to our gallery and linked here with a small description. I already have some places I will visit and take some pictures, I hope others will do the same.

Man, I have no idea, so give us something useful, or something, I want to play tongue

Yay, this is getting  better and better, thanks so much for it, HateTank.
The style still amazes me. Waiting for more smile

/thumbsup

Edit: I never noticed the lockers at the entrance in the game, damn, nice little detail.

It's true, the signature should appear, but it doesn't. While in his profile, it shows.
Maybe Nuala could get a look at it, but seems you are the only one smile
Maybe try uploading your signature again, for example to an other place, though there are others with the same imagesite.

Well, I'm guessing here:
1. L.A.P.D.: To Protect and to Serve
2. James Alexander
3. Michael Madsen

Well, I say the GM's word is truth, and it is so smile I think that the players can decide if an action is deadly or not, but anyway if it creats good RP, then I'm in for some drama. I, myself wouldn't be too struck if I would have to create a new char, but some might. Rolling dices I don't like a lot, knowing probability theory and such smile Not in a death/life question.
There are chars who like playing with fire *hints* but they sure know the risks.
Also, if a player "asks" for the death, then they can work it out nicely with the GM, as we saw proof of that earlier.

Well... yeah, like a standard, first you make a draft, than a "Request for Comment", than it's standard. Not that we want to throw together jibberish smile

1, I have no problem with the speed, though there are times when I feel that the action has come to a full stop, mostly becouse the GM is busy on an other channel. Though getting discussions up to speed with more general description.

2, Seems that everyone wants to go on their own ways, but I'm sure you can figure out something that would gather us in one place smile

3, Well, not much to be done about that, when you have more time, you can come up with interesting stuff, when not, such is life.

Also, a suggestion, maybe we could gather our knowledge together, about the world, the Tower, the society, and everything we know or think that's connected to the game, so it could become a basic "ruleset" for anyone to play. We can edit the wiki also, but maybe some forum threads can be a good start also.

tdb has a logging system for the sessions, doesn't he? You could read in that for a change if you want to, not like the real time session, but gives you an idea, more so that the time-stamps are there, so you can judge the rythm of the game too.

Right, here it is:
Sunday early afternoon isn't a good time for me, considering RL and such things. Friday is more like it, and I can stay up for some more time too, I just felt the play to become really slow, so I thought that the others are tired too. Anyway, I won't be able to attend on 20th, as I will have a test on 21th (stupid 1st of May, I have to go to school on Saturday...). But anyway, I would say Friday is better for me, 13-14 CET would be too early for me, but if it would mean more players and everyone else would want that, then I will try to make arrangements.

We need time for today, GM, if possible, as daylight saving and such has messed up our timesense smile So, we found 18:30 GMT +1 (!!!) would be nice, as everyone changed to +1 hour.
(And we should start giving times in CEST or CET, as they are daylight saving proof smile )

/waytogo to Darkhawk, mostly the case would Planescape Torment distracted by RL smile
*points at his name and winks*
Also, LotR should be nice, when they put up the RP-server at last.

You know Darkhawk, Smoldering Corpse Bar is a nice place, I'm sure you visited it sometimes smile More than one wise man gather there drinking ale and telling tales of battles of the creatures of other planes... wink

About the project... yeah... I still don't have a copy of NWN2, though I would help in if it started miracoulusly sometime again smile

Thank you GM, it's so much better on Sunday. I'll be there.

He has very short red hair on an oval head, green, shining eyes darting around always. He wears grey workersuits that are burned and dirty on some places. His skin is mediterranean colour. He is a little bit shorter than the average in his age, he is slim, fingers long and thin.

Hmm... first, I tried it out becouse it was soooo different than any other game I played, I was fed up with MMOs that are all the same. Then, I stayed, becouse the community was great, it was fun, and I wanted to support the devs. Then, I found the RP, and it was so great that it sucked me in.

So really, the most important part of Seed that made it different from any other game was the story, the ability to affect it, and the RP. No wonder some are playing Shadow Siege now, it has all these features.
